New customer care centre in Peterborough is the company’s first major operational investment outside London as it plans for global growth
Addison Lee, Europe’s largest car service, has today launched a recruitment campaign for 250 new jobs in Peterborough.
The company is relocating the customer care centre from Camden to Access House in Hampton, choosing Peterborough for its first significant UK operational investment in a site outside London.
Catherine Faiers, Addison Lee’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “Addison Lee’s expansion plans and recent international growth mean we need to move our customer services. Peterborough, with its vibrant, ambitious, work force is an ideal location as we look to recruit 250 employees to help us grow.”
Addison Lee has over 80{8199157a03996f1a7ab1d1caf6f45edc473a1d2aec9e8517e0f1549d1671dba4} of the FTSE100 as clients and fulfils ten million journeys in London each year. It owns one of the UK’s largest vehicle fleets and operates in the US, Europe and Asia through its own businesses or via a network of best in class private car companies.
Its digital booking and management systems have been recognised as industry leading and Addison Lee was named “Disruptive Tech Leader of the Year” at the 2017 Techie Awards. This capability, combined with recent acquisitions, is helping to establish the company as a global leader in business ground transport.
Addison Lee’s customer services are moving to Access House, a purpose built site in Peterborough and is looking for candidates who will excel in a customer service role, and use the Customer Service Centre as a launch pad to grow their careers and to experience different roles in the company.

Local constituency MP, Shailesh Vara will officially open the new Customer Service Centre in the summer. Mr Vara said: “It is excellent news that Addison Lee is relocating its customer service centre to Peterborough and I was very pleased to visit the company’s premises. The large number of jobs that will be created by this move is a huge boost for the local economy and shows again that Peterborough remains one of the UK’s most attractive cities for new and expanding businesses.”

It is expected that the first new recruits will start at the end of May.
